Itinerary of the 7 days tour from Marrakech to the desert

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Transfer to the hotel
Arrival in Marrakech and meeting at Menara airport depending on the arrival of your flight (flight at customer’s expense) with our staff for transfer to the riad provided. Accommodation in riad in the medina and free time in Marrakech. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the riad.

Day 2: Discover the city of Marrakech
On the second day of 7 days from Marrakech to the desert, we will go sightseeing for a few hours accompanied by an official guide. Marrakech, nicknamed the “Pearl of the South”, was founded in the 12th century by the Almoravid dynasty. The founders of Morocco left remarkable palaces and gardens. We will visit the beautiful Majorelle Gardens by Yves Saint Laurent and the Menara, then visit the Saadian Tombs, the Koutubia Gardens, the Museum of Moroccan Art and the Bahia Palace. We will then stop at a restaurant inside the medina for lunch. We continue with a visit to the souks and a stroll through the narrow streets of the city, where the scenery is fascinating. Finally, we will visit the famous Djemaa El Fna square, where the spectacle is permanent and which is a UNESCO heritage site for its street artists. Dinner at leisure and overnight in a riad.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzzate – Kasbah Telouet – Draa Valley – Agdz
On the third day of the 7 days trip from Marrakech to the desert and After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate passing through the High Atlas Mountains at the Col du Tichka pass (2260 meters), from where you can admire the spectacular scenery of the High Atlas.
Visit the kasbah of Telouet, two majestic kasbahs built by a pasha in the twelfth century.
Then we will stop for lunch in a restaurant along the way.
Then visit the stupendous Ksar of Ait Benhaddhou, a splendid sand castle nestled as if by magic in a field of almond trees; so beautiful with its play of light that it became the setting for many famous films such as “Lawrence of Arabia” and “A Tea in the Desert”. Kasbah of such pride that it has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the only kasbah that shows intact the architecture of southern Morocco. Continuation through the beautiful Draa Valley with its vast palm grove to Agdz. Overnight in a riad. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 4: Agdz – Ksar Tamnougalt -Tazarine – Rissani – Merzouga
On the fourth day of the 7 day trip from Marrakech to the desert, and After breakfast, visit the ancient fortified village of Tamnougalt, where also filmed The English Patient. The road Agdz – Rissani passes through numerous Berber villages such as Ncob and Tazarine. Stop in Rissani for lunch in a restaurant. Then visit the lively local market and the Moulay Ali Sherif mosque. Then you will arrive in Merzouga, at the gates of the desert of Erg Chebbi,

where you will meet your camels and embark on a camel ride through the beautiful golden dunes for about an hour to admire the sunset (alternatively, you can take a walk in the dunes). You will then settle in a Berber-style tented camp at the beginning of the dunes. You will appreciate the beauty of the landscape in an unforgettable evening under a starry sky, in front of a beautiful bonfire where Berber drums will be played. (The camp is equipped with private tents furnished with beds with mattresses and clean sheets and blankets, a tent with toilets and another restaurant tent). Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Toudra Gorges – Dades Gorge
On the fifth day of the 7 days trip from Marrakech to the desert, and after admiring a beautiful sunrise over the dunes, you return to the camp, you will have free time for breakfast and shower. Then departure to Erfoud where we will see the fossils in which the area is rich.

Continuation to the Todra Gorges, in a wild landscape populated by Berber villages and oasis. Visit the Todra Gorges, carved into the mountains and with a depth of up to 200 meters. Then we will stop for lunch in a restaurant along the way.

Then the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 6: Dades Gorges – Valley of roses – Kasbah of Taourirt – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will visit the beautiful Dades Gorges, with interesting canyons and rock formations, and continue to Marrakech through the valley of roses and Ouarzazate. Here we will visit the famous kasbah of Taurirt, which was the home of the Pachas, and if you wish, a visit to the famous film studios. We will then stop for lunch at a restaurant along the way.

Then departure to Marrakech where we will arrive in the late afternoon. Overnight in a riad in the medina.

Day 7: Marrakech – Transfer to the airport
On the last day of the 7 days trip from Marrakech to the desert, and After breakfast, depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport for the return flight. End of our services
