The Kasbah located in the High Atlas Mountains, and its road is called “a thousand Kasbahs” because of the number of Kasbahs that are on that road. The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou has a great archaeological, cultural and architectural value, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. The Kasbah is open to the public, although there are families living inside its walls.
